Program of Priestly Formation

Lay Accompaniment Although priestly formation necessarily includes agents of formation who must be priests, it is essential that a seminarian’s formation be truly ecclesial through the formal participation of lay members of the seminary community. The laity, particularly women, offer insightful recommendations, opinions, and points of view to the rector and community of formators. In addition, families and other communities within the Church are an integral part of the initial stages of formation. 113
